Explain how you design LEs that stick.
I design learning experiences that stick by focusing less on delivering information and more on creating conditions where people actually use what they’re learning.
I start with what the learner can already do, and then build from there in small, meaningful steps so they’re never overwhelmed but always slightly challenged. I think a lot about progression: how someone moves from understanding something, to trying it, to owning it.
I also design for action. If someone isn’t actively doing something with the content, like deciding, applying, testing, or reflecting, then it usually won’t last. So I build in opportunities for repetition, choice, and real use, not just passive consumption.
And finally, I focus on meaning. People remember what feels relevant to them, so I try to create experiences where they can connect the learning to their own context and goals. That’s what turns information into something they actually keep.
